Expedia changed the flight dates. I went to the site, I entered when I wanted to go and come home. Throughout the remainder of the booking process,, they always mentioned the departure date and time, never the return date. They DID not obey the return date I specified. They changed it. It was impossible to change it back to the requested date,, in fact ir could not be canceled, through expedia, or through Frontier Airlines. The one way return flight cost 3 times what the round trip originally cost. I will Never, never, never use Expedia OR Frontier again. 1,000 or more flights in my life. Those two are off my list permanently.

TSA may not be responsible for lost or stolen items, but they are not above stealing things for themselves. I have seen it happen at least twice.

Another is having a Wifi Hot spot. In Japan about $5 USD per day. Other places up to about $12 USD per day dependent on data you need. Oh, the wifi in Japan is scary fast and no data limits. I use Japan-wireless and have for years. You must have a place for it to be delivered to in Japan.

One RUclips travel person said that the tripped travel tsa liquids bag was considered too big in some European airports. I have a lot of solid and heavy toiletries so I don’t know how well my tripped toiletry bag will hold the weight.

We too like to pack light and have found laundrettes in USA or NZ /laundries in rural Peru and Asia, or handwashing, no problem. I'm surprised to see no mention of contraception or period products. Personal, but hey we're all adults here and "3rd person" information about different countries can be useful. I believe that contraceptives are illegal in some countries ? And I have found sanitary products can be sized much smaller in some asian countries for the more slender locals. Some travellers use moon cups which gets around the problem of disposal and repurchase off the beaten track / saving the planet.

I’ve been doing my research on new carry-ons for the last 3 months now for my trip to Australia for two weeks in July. I def want to have something that holds a week worth of clothes since I’ll just be washing them at the hotel for the following week. I def would prefer more room since I’m a bigger guy, so do you think I should go with the classic series over the pro series? Your videos have been super helpful btw!

One pair of shoes is not practical. Walking shoes, dinner/outing shoes and sandals for beach/boat or general walking is far better than one pair of shoes. You can wear one pair during travel - but there is need for other shoes.

Have you tried the Timeshifter ap? It was helpful for avoiding jetlag on our most recent trip to Europe. Appreciate your middle-section aisle suggestion. I used to take the window, now take the aisle because getting stuck for hours on end is awful.

We are travelling to Greece (from U.S.), and want to bring about 9500 dollars in cash with us. Can we keep the cash (and passports) on us in our pants pockets when going through security or customs? YES! To Briggs & Riley. Well built, well sized, incredible warranty I have had to use a few times. The only problem is if you want to use as carry on for flights with carry on weight limits, they run a little bit heavier than some other brands like Samsonite. NO! No! No! To Tumi! Nice bag, but warranty is NOT honored. Had one for just over a year and the handle broke. Tumi said their warranty didn’t cover the handle - Huh? Wife’s Tumi bag had a problem with the wheel 6 months later and again, no warranty coverage. They claim an all inclusive warranty but it is not honored. Threw the Tumi bags away.

This type of packing is fine for a really cheap trip. If you stay in nice hotels and go out to nice restaurants you pack completely different.

These bags are all too heavy. When every ounce counts, half your allowable weight being in the bag itself, is too much for those looking for carry on only.

I'm intrigued. How do you get to witness all those people's packing mistakes ? Ars you there when they pack ?
